Stephanie Correia (BFA Honours, ADAPT, DMA, IADA)
Artistic Director
Stephanie has been studying dance for 20 years, and is a graduate of York University with an Honours BFA Double Major in Dance and Kinesiology & Health Science. Stephanie is also a certified member of Dance Masters of America Chapter #38(DMA), and the International Academy of Dance Adjudicators (IADA), as well as a member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science (IADMS). Stephanie has also completed the 3rd and final year of the ADAPT Teacher Training Certification course, taught by the well known Brian Foley and Faye Foley, earning her full teaching credentials in jazz and tap. As a Dance Adjudicator, Stephanie has been invited to travel all over Canada to various Competitions including, Dancefest, Luv 2 Dance, Rising Star at the CNE, Millenium Dance Festival and CDTA.
Stephanie was trained at Durham Dance Centre in Pickering, Ontario as well as the National Ballet School of Canada, where she was a member of the Junior Associate Program. She has studied Jazz (ADAPT, BATD) ,Tap (ADAPT, BATD), Ballet (RAD, Cecchetti, BATD), Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Modern (Cunningham, Graham, Limone) and Pointe. Throughout her training, Stephanie had the opportunity to compete in many cities throughout Canada and the United States, including Florida and Las Vegas, where she and her teammates won many awards. She has also completed many exams with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD). Stephanie also had the opportunity to continue performing when she was a member of the York University Dance Team while attending York University. Now as a teacher and choreographer Stephanie’s students have won numerous awards, including Overall Production at Dance Dance Canada in 2006.
Stephanie is currently working to form a Canadian Dance organization called “Healthy Dancer Canada”, that will promote communication between dance and medical professionals, and educate dance instructors on safe dance training practices. www.healthydancercanada.org.
Stephanie has also taught dance at Clearmeadow Public School, Bogart Public School Ecole Catholique Saint-Jean, Kettlby Public School, and Armitage Village Public School.
By combining her formal education at York University with her 20 years of practical education, Stephanie hopes to bridge the gap between education and the dance studio setting. Having to overcome a serious injury herself, Stephanie dedicated much of her University career to becoming educated on injuries specific to dancers, and ways to prevent them. Stephanie is very passionate about dance, and truly enjoys her job as a dance educator!

Shauna Thompson, ADAPT Assistant Artistic Director
Shauna began grooming her passion for dance at the age of 3, when she started training at Durham Dance Centre. For over 15 years, Shauna studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet (RAD, Cecchetti and Russian), Pointe, Musical Theatre and Acro. She has competed throughout Canada and the United States, including American Dance Awards National Finals in Las Vegas and Boston.
At the age of 14, Shauna's focus turned to developing young dancers. After completing the three year ADAPT Teacher Training Certification, Shauna continued her training at George Brown College, participating in their 2 year Dance Performance Diploma Program and graduating with Honours. In the last five years as a teacher and choreographer, Shauna's students have won numerous awards including Young Dancer of the Year, and many overalls in groups, duets, trios and solos.
Shauna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to all of her students. She has a genuine love for the art of dance, and is constantly taking courses, classes and workshops to better herself as a teacher. She is very enthusiastic about sharing her passion for dance with all the young dancers she has the privilige to work with, and encourages her students to set goals and dream big! After all, "Before reality comes the Dream!"

Gina Kim (BFA Honours, A.I.S.T.D. (Cecc,ND) NBS TTP Dip, IADA )
Ballet Teacher-Cecchetti Method
Born in Edmonton Alberta, Gina Kim moved to Niagara Falls, Ontario and started her dancing career at the age of six under the watchful eyes of The Port Colborne Dance Academy, now formally known as Dance Expressions. Ms. Kim has diverse training in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, National dance and Korean traditional folk dance. Ms. Kim received Honors in numerous C.D.T.A tap and jazz exams, Advanced Cecchetti ballet exams, Advanced RAD ballet exams and Advanced I.S.T.D National dance exams.
Ms. Kim was a competitive dancer since the age of six, receiving several awards and scholarships at local, national and various competitions across North America. After twelve years of competing, Ms. Kim is now a certified adjudicator in association with I.A.D.A. Greater accomplished credentials include: Teaching Diploma and certificate from Canada's National Ballet School, Associates in The Cecchetti Society of Canada, Royal Academy of Dance, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, and Canadian Dance Teachers Association.
Ms. Kim attended master classes and workshops in Toronto, Buffalo, New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Japan, Korea and Winnipeg. Her performing experience includes Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with Quinte Ballet School, The Nutcracker and Les Syphides with The National Ballet School, The Beach Boys, Guys N’ Dolls, Bye-Bye Birdie, Grease, Chicago and Westside Story. After graduating with her BFA Honors in Dance from York University, Ms. Kim furthered her education at Canada’s National Ballet School, and joined the teaching staff in the Associates Program in 2006.
Ms. Kim was honoured to join Vision Dance Academy and is ecstatic to continue working with the talented staff and students.

Corey Judd (Hip Hop)
Corey's specialty is Hip Hop! He began his career as a
dancer, performing and competing with the Dance Institute In Markham.
He has now expanded his horizons as a dance educator. Originally
teaching all boys hip hop classes by popular demand, Corey Is a firm
believer In conducting his classes In a positive and fun manner! Corey is a highly trained hip-hop dancer, and has been involved in various
competitions, earning first place and overall awards.
Corey Initially became interested in
choreography while teaching his own choreography to colleagues. He gets a lot of inspiration from other choreographers and dancers just like
himself, Including Gigi Torres, Nick Demoura, Luther Brown, and Kojo
Mayne. He first became involved with teaching children by assisting a
boys hip-hop class, age 6-12, once a week. He realized that this
environment was something he really enjoyed, and eventually Corey was
requested to take over the class as the principle teacher. Corey really enjoys working with children of all ages, and Is known for creating an
atmosphere In his classes that all dancers enjoy! He has even
auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance Canada with
choreographer/dancer Blake McGrath.
Corey continues to better himself as a
dancer and teacher by taking drop-in classes as much as possible at
O.I.P. and DLM Studios downtown. These classes help Corey to stay
current, learn from different teachers, and expand his choreographic
imagination. Corey can been seen dancing in Danny Fernandes's Video "Addicted".

Katie Murphy, BFA Hons, ADAPT
Katie has been training in various forms of dance including hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, modern, lyrical, contemporary, flamenco and musical theatre for over twenty years. After graduating with her BFA Honors from York University, and completing her ADAPT certification as well as three years of intense training at George Brown College where she completed her studio diploma and performance certification, her focus turned to training healthy, strong and well balanced dancers. Throughout her career and education, Katie has competed all over North America and performed in Spain with Euro international. Throughout her professional career she has trained with various world renowned teachers, choreographers and dance professionals.
Katie is always striving to improve her technique, choreography and teaching skills through class and workshops. She has taught many dancers for competition and has won many various awards. She has taught at several studios and schools throughout the Toronto area. Katie has many years experience teaching in the education system and feels that the arts and dance should play an important roll in every child’s life. Her love of dance has taken her to amazing places where she has met wonderful people who have inspired her and opened her eyes to the endless possibilities that dance can bring.

Lindsay Daniels
B. Kin (Honours), B.Ed., ADAPT , OCT
Dance Educator, Adjudicator, Choreographer
Lindsay Daniels is a sought after choreographer, instructor, adjudicator and dance educator. She is currently on staff with the Durham District School Board as a Dance Education Specialist, leading workshops and seminars for elementary school teachers on dance pedagogy and assessment and is a member of the Durham District School Board’s Elementary Arts Curriculum Review Committee. She is the head of dance at Sinclair Secondary School, an award and scholarship winning high school dance program in Whitby, ON.
Miss Daniels’ students have gone onto post secondary dance programs, been featured on “So You Think You Can Dance Canada”, professional dance careers and have become dance instructors themselves. Her current students continue a tradition of excellence and high standards, winning overall titles, scholarships and the highest adjudication in competitions.
She is known for her innovative and stylized choreography as well as her high energy, technical and enthusiastic approach to dance education.
Miss Daniels trained in Ontario, attending workshops at The National Ballet of Canada, completing a dance placement at Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts (College Division), and obtained her honours degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. In 2006, Miss Daniels completed her Bachelor of Education at York University and her ADAPT teaching qualifications lead by Brian and Faye Foley in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan.
Miss Daniels is also an Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica (Oshawa location), is a freelance choreographer in the GTA and Calgary, leads workshops at McMaster University, and has recently choreographed for the Olympic Torch Run presentation in Ontario.
Miss Daniels loves her position as a dance educator and strives to instill dedication, passion and a strong work ethic in her students.
